a draft of a tattoo i'm working on for my arm. the idea is to have various types of vine-like tangled plants converging and solidifying in a pattern around a symbol. What i'd like is to have a nice pattern where they mesh together really closely in the center, and each interlocked piece follows a sort of abstract plant theme.

I'd like to stay away from the over-done "tribal" themed stuff, although i see a little resemblance. i'm also searching for more ideas of how to do the plants, although right now the main idea is that they will be tangled, and focussed on being long and wiry. hardly any large leaves. everywhere i go, i'm looking at plants for ideas on small leaves, thorns, runners, and roots.

if anyone likes to doodle or sketch, and has some vine/plant related stuff (whether realist or abstract), i'd love to see it :) Same for any tightly-interlocking patterns. i'm sorta thinking of those sci-fi "iris" style doors where the sharp pieces slide together, except a little more elaborately shaped.
