Anders dagegen der wackere "Günther" - "Get up, stand up !" , sagt er sich munter.

Dummies And People

Another scene from the UIAH Masters of Art exhibition. I waited a while in case people would show up under the dummies, and sure enough they did. The dummies are wearing a set of clothes designed by a graduate. Her name was Svetlana; I don't remember the last name. She wore an impressive red dress for the ceremony.

Interpreter

One of the people being celebrated was one guy who got his doctorate (Not the one in the picture). He had become deaf. His research was about making stuff accessible to people who can't hear, see, or understand the language. By all accounts, his work made a quite an impression. This guy was interpreting the proceedings into sign language for his benefit -- and, I would expect, any other deaf people in the audience.

Art Appreciation

A scene from the University of Industrial Arts of Helsinki "Masters of Art" exhibition. Like the next few. It was a good exhibition, both in the way it was set up and from the stuff that was being exhibited. Beats many exhibitions I've seen in far more prestigious venues.
