FDIC Insured - Studio Visit Install

I just put up an installation of work at Eyebeam for Studio Visits. This is work I have been producing over the last 6 months.
The work is primarily old found books cut with the laser cutter, as well as some laser cut drawings.
This is "FDIC Insured" a collection of 130+ cast off investment books from the Strand dollar racks, engraved with the logos of all of the failed banks of the Great Recession.

just hold me

from the exhibition publication for "just hold me", which finished yesterday at objectspace. it was all about publication design, and was a room full of beautiful books which you were allowed to handle ("with gloves and care"), as well as some precious things in glass cases: concrete letters, a case of spartan, an adult pop-up book. the publication (photographed) has essays and thoughts about publication design and is beautifully made. the introduction is printed on carbon paper, in triplicate!
